Such a remarkably stylised performance! It is that I think the music of Mozart promotes finesse as well as facility; that any pianist turning their attention to it, and regardless of age, is taught/shaped by it, that the music itself should sound as it was meant to sound, even as Mozart himself conceived it. Well, that is my most immediate thought upon hearing this! I am in awe of these fine and gifted young players! Truly wonderful!
Daniil Tsvetkov in collaboration with Elisey assures us that creativity does indeed have a child’s heart; that the music of Mozart knows no bounds, the sheer beauty of a sound serving Music itself as saviour. And then to consider the musicianship of the child soloist, so well beyond his years, how it speaks of experiences even yet to be had, two souls as one united. What an honour it has been for me to hear this!
